Our silk ascot ties and cravats are cut and sewn by hand in Barcelona, in woven jacquard, satin and printed silk. The ascot is the traditional choice for morning dress at weddings and ceremonies, and a touch of effortless elegance with an open-collar shirt.
How to wear an ascot
- Formal (wedding or morning dress): worn over a buttoned shirt collar, with a waistcoat and morning coat. Ivory, silver, grey and navy are the classic colours: see the Ivory Belvedere Ascot Cravat or the navy silk jacquard ascot.
- Casual (day cravat): tucked inside an open-collar shirt, with a blazer or a knit. Printed silk in burgundy, green or paisley works best.
- Black tie and evening: the black silk satin ascot.
Ascot ties for women
An ascot is also a beautiful accessory for women: worn under a shirt collar, loosely knotted with a blazer, or as a neck scarf. All our ascots are unisex.
How to tie an ascot
- Drape the ascot around your neck with one end slightly longer.
- Cross the long end over the short end, then bring it up through the neck loop.
- Let it fall over the front, adjust the folds so it sits full and smooth, and fix it with a pin if you like.
